How is this different from a large consultancy firm?
Our consultants are engineers who have operated systems in production — and they draw on the expertise of the A1 teams who are still doing so. Our recommendations are tested, quantified, and we’re on hand to implement them if you wish.
Can you audit an existing service provider or IT department?
Yes, this is a common occurrence. We approach it systematically and respectfully: the aim is to inform decision-making, not to apportion blame. The report distinguishes between issues relating to resources, organisation and past decisions.
What format does a report take?
Two documents: a 10-page summary for your Executive Committee — decisions to be taken, costs, risks — and a comprehensive technical dossier for your teams. Plus the presentation session, where we present our recommendations in person.
Do you provide one-off support or long-term support?
Both. A due diligence process takes three weeks; a technology committee meeting takes place within the year. Many clients start with a short-term assignment and then maintain a direct line of communication with a partner.
