Should we migrate everything to Kubernetes?
No. Kubernetes is an excellent tool when the workload and organisational structure warrant it — not a sacred cow. The architecture review sets out precisely what should be moved to Kubernetes, what should remain on VMs or in managed services, and why.
What does ‘sovereign’ actually mean to you?
Hosting with a qualified European provider where your sector requires it, encryption where you hold the keys, and proven reversibility: it’s all ‘infrastructure as code’ – you’re good to go. Sovereignty without reversibility is nothing more than a sales pitch.
Do our teams retain control during the outsourcing process?
Yes — it’s your platform. Your teams retain access, take part in post-mortems, and the level of delegation is adjustable: from a simple night-time on-call rota to full operational management.
Is FinOps worth the cost for a modest bill?
For monthly cloud bills of less than €10,000, a one-off audit is usually sufficient. Above that threshold, the cost of ongoing monitoring pays for itself within a few weeks — our observed average is a reduction of 18 per cent after six months
