Javelo's technical team is composed of 11 backend engineers with different profiles: backend, frontend, full stack and QA. The main technologies used are Ruby, Ruby on Rails, ReactJs, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, AWS and Terraform.

02 - Barriers to Migration
We are experiencing sustained growth, and while already positioned on Cloud technologies we needed to modify our application's architecture to meet our growth challenges. The Heroku PaaS platform did not allow us to have the diversity and control of services we needed to scale.

03 - Project Constraints and Concerns
First, the implementation of a new infrastructure required devoting a large portion of our internal resources to it, which jeopardized the fulfillment of certain commitments to our roadmap. Second, there was a real fear of introducing technical debt in the early stages of creating the new infrastructure. Finally, the timeline for implementing the new infrastructure was also a major constraint, as our traffic is seasonal, and the high season was coming up.

04 - How A1 Cloud Met Your Expectations
A1 provided us with complete support throughout the various phases of the project. First in the design phase, where we developed a custom architecture that exactly meets the needs of our application and the way our teams work. The second phase did not only consist of delivering code and infrastructure resources to us, but also organizing between Javelo and A1 a continuous knowledge transmission. This allowed our engineering team to grow in competence and take over the infrastructure with confidence after delivery.

05 - Most Satisfying Features
First, their use of Infrastructure as Code is clear and efficient. Second, the platform is robust and gives us the performance we needed, with automatic scalability. And a few months after delivery, the platform was audited. These audits passed with flying colors! We had confidence in the quality of the work provided, as we had been included in the code reviews during the build, but the confirmation from an external third party objectively brings even more trust.
